Jackson Community Mourns the Tragic Loss of 17-Year-Old Corrin Igbadi in Early Morning Crash
JACKSON, Miss. — The Jackson community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Corrin Igbadi, 17, who was killed in a devastating car crash early Friday morning, January 30, 2026.
According to the Jackson Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:00 a.m. along the Interstate 55 Frontage Road. Investigators said a black Toyota Camry, occupied by two males, was traveling southbound on I-55 at a high rate of speed when it ran off the roadway. The vehicle ultimately came to rest beneath a bridge, sustaining severe damage.
Corrin Igbadi, a Jackson resident, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second occupant of the vehicle, a 21-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet determined which individual was driving at the time of the crash.
