WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. — The Pullman community is grieving the tragic loss of 22-year-old Angelina D’Amato, who died following a serious traffic collision on State Route 195 on Friday afternoon, January 30, 2026. According to the Washington State Patrol, D’Amato was a passenger in a 2009 Toyota Corolla attempting to cross SR 195 from Albion Road toward Hamilton Hill Road when the vehicle failed to yield the right of way. The Corolla was struck broadside by a southbound semi truck traveling within the posted speed limit. The force of the collision pushed the vehicle off the roadway and into a nearby field.
