David Gimlett Found Dead – Obituary: 33-year-old David Gimlett from the Leavenworth area Found Dead
With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we remember David Gimlett, a 33-year-old man from the Leavenworth area whose life ended far too soon. His passing has left his family, friends, and community grieving a loss that words can scarcely capture. David was not just a missing person notice or the subject of a search—he was a beloved son, family member, and friend whose presence mattered deeply to those who knew him.
David was reported missing on January 24 after he was last seen leaving the 3200 block of Hansel Lane in Peshastin on the evening of January 23. When days passed without contact, concern grew rapidly among his loved ones. His cell phone had not been active since that night, heightening fears and prompting an urgent search effort.
The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, alongside dedicated volunteers, worked tirelessly to locate David. Deputies conducted extensive searches throughout the area, following up on numerous tips provided by the public. Multiple resources were deployed, including helicopter support, ground search teams, and drone technology. Members of Chelan County Volunteer Search and Rescue canvassed neighborhoods and surrounding areas, driven by hope and determination to bring David home.
Tragically, those efforts ended in heartbreak when David was found deceased.
While the outcome was not what anyone prayed for, the overwhelming response from law enforcement, volunteers, and community members stands as a testament to how much David mattered. His life touched others, and his absence will be deeply felt.
As we honor David’s memory, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May they find comfort in the love and support surrounding them, strength in shared memories, and peace in time. David Gimlett will not be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
